I'm quite frankly a little obsessed with this tufted butterfly rug. I made this one with yarn I found from my local secondhand craft store, so this piece used almost completely recycled materials other than the backing fabric! The piece took about 15 hours to complete.
Her wingspan is 27 inches wide and about 20 inches tall. The rug is backed with non-slip fabric (think grippy sock) and is the perfect size for a desk or floor mirror.
Spot clean only - the rug is finished with a high quality latex-based glue, but I do not suggest testing the glue by immersing the rug in water or by using a rug cleaning machine. If you do, let me know how it goes! To increase the longevity of the rug, avoid placing it in high traffic areas.
